Windows 2k service pack 3 update.

I am running Windows 2k professional on a Pentium 4 1.2G machine. I have kept the updates and service patches current up to the win2k service pack 3. I have tried to download it 4 or 5 times and have had it freeze at the point where it shows contacting web site "ntservicepack.microsoft.com/isapi/pstream3.dll/win2000/sp".
I have to cancel the download and it then freezes the browser window so that it can not be closed and a reboot is necessary. I have loaded pack 2 successfully when it came out and all of the critical updates loaded ok. Thanks for the help.

Maybe someone you know has win2k and has succesfully downloaded SP3. If so, why not have them burn it to a CD and then you can just install it that way. I don't think doing this is illegal but if I am wrong the mods here can edit my post. Just my two cents. HTH

Thanks for the response. I have the complete manual download of the service pack from the microsoft site. However, from what I understand, if it is installed, it will install all the aspects of the service pack whether you need it or not including the NT server sections. I don't know how extensive this install is and whether the total install will affect the stability of the system with all the unneccessary server sections.
