Hi rs125,

Even if you could reduce the size of Windows to fit the other program on, you're going to have problems because Windows likes to have at least 100MB free for swap file use. When free space drops below 100MB, you'll get messages informing you of this and that you'll need to free up space. You may also experience system instability (lockups, crashes, etc...).

I think your best bet would be to install a larger hard drive.

Cricket's right hon, that program would have a hard time running on that hard drive, even if nothing else was installed. Including Windows! I don't think there's any way possible to get Windows down to 200M or less.

You could put on win95, but then again, this program you're talking about, will it run on 95?

To follow up on forceflow's point: I'm guessing the laptop originally came with Win95 installed, partly because 2.1gb is the largest a FAT16 partition can be in Win95.

Win98 is nice though (one of my favorites). Here in the states, notebook drives can be had as low as $60 USD for 8gb models (you can get 20gb models for not much more - but the bios on your laptop might not be able to see the full drive - [though you'd have the option of using "drive overlay" software] . . . )

Best of luck
