Security Alerts won't go away --XP

Entering a secure site the normal alert appears ( about to view pages over a secure connection...... ) I click to continue.

Immediately the exit security alert appears warning that I am leaving a secure area.

If I click yes to go ahead then the first alert appears and so it goes on ad infinitum. If I click no then I am left looking at a blank page that I have to exit.

Help would be much appreciated.:

Is it with all secure sites or simply with one such example?

Statica ---Due to unusually slow loading pages and my own ineptitude I confused the issue in my posting.Could I start again.

The problem is that immediately after I click in the Security Alert box to enter a secure site, the Security Alert Box to exit the page appears. At the same time the locked padlock is on the status bar.

If I then click yes to exit, the padlock will vanish and the web page will appear. If I click no, the padlock remains but the page will not load

So it seems to me I've just got to stop the exit Alert box from appearing until I indicate I want to leave the secure area.

It happens on several sites but not all. It seemed to start today after I registered on the Microsoft UK Support site, signing up for their.Net Passport scheme. I have unregistered but the problem remains.

Sorry for the confusion, hope you can help
