Closing all windows?
There is a button in the Quick Launch tray to minimize all windows to show all windows. Is there some way I can close all of the open windows?
This would be very hopeful when a whole load of web windows open up when I don't want them to etc Any ideas? Jim

I dont think that there is one button but what I do is just press alt F4 to close the window(s)...
If it just for webpages you might want to try a pop up blocker

Funnily enough, Windows + M always used to shaft my PC (it would make loads of weird shortcut keys active)
For example, pressing 'e' at any time would launch Windows Explorer and the e wouldn't appear on screen Windows + M would then fix the problem, but it wouldn't minimize the windows Don't ask me how I worked out how to fix it, it was a long time ago. It seems to work now though? Perhaps Windows + X closes all of the windows ? Or similar... Jim |

There are 2 options that I can think of, of course none as a one click routine, but shorter than closing it all individually anyway:
1) in XP you can have windows arranged as groups and close the entire group simultaneously by right clicking on the taskbar location for the whole group 2) You can press Ctrl+al+del once to start the Task Manager, then select all the apps you want closed by pressing shift and selecting all of them and then clicking end task. |

Check these out:
http://www.panicware.com/product_dp_tutorial.html http://www.kmint21.com/whidepro/ http://www.uniphiz.com/zcleaner.htm Probably the last one would work, but the first one has a ton of bells and whistles. |

Thanks, I tried the last one and...
It's OK actually, only thing is you can still see the taskbar at the top of the screen when you hide the windows Thanks for the help, I don't reckon there will be any thing out there that can actually close all of my windows Jim |
