windows messengerib back

I cannot find the thread, but about 6mos. ago someone gave me easy instructions on how to remove it. I added the service pack and they snuck it back on my computer. I cant remember how but it didnt involve the run, current user, documents and settings, etc. If you can remember how please let me know. Windows messenger has to be the single most annoying thing ever.
