no search in xp?
 i seem to have installed something that removed the search function? it said that i should run setup. how would i bring it back? |

Boot with your XP CD and use the repair option. See if that brings it back. Trudy |

Are you using any programs like jv16 tools or Registry Robot that allow you to make tweaks? If so they may have a setting that denies users the capability of using the search function. I have never seen them bring up a blank search window like in your picture.
