Question reinstall win2000

Can you reinstall win2000 over itself and not lose anything like you can with win98?

Yes, just boot from the CD, choose install not the 1st repair option, after you choose install there will be a second repair option. Choose that and everything should be fine.

Just be sure to reinstall any MS updates as they will not be saved with the repair install.
