Question Windows Media Player Task Bar has 'blocks' where letters should be.

I just installed Windows Media Player 7.1. All of the letters that should be there in the task bar (Media Library, CD Audio, ect.) are just squares (like maybe it doesn't know which font to use.) Anyone have any suggestions?

Using 98se.

Followup

I think that some of my fonts are corrupt. Is there any way to tell which fonts are ok and which fonts are not?

Download Tweakui from Microsoft and install ,go to the repair section and click to repair font folder.

If it turns out that the corrupt fonts aren't the trouble, see if minimizing and then maximizing the screen clears the toolbar back to normal. If so, it might be a minimal problem with the video driver / Direct X / and Media Player. You could live with it, or keep troubleshooting. Often a more recent video driver can help.

Best of luck
