Win XP Pro Printng Problem

I'm working on a PC now that dual boots on Win 98SE, Win 2000 Pro and Win XP Pro. When I print documents using XP Pro, it will print halfway and it stops and can't proceed printing again, but when I use Win 98SE or Win 2000 Pro there is no problem at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Driver of the HP DeskJet 694C so many times but still I can't print using XP Pro. TIA for your help.

The HP drivers won't work with XP. In fact HP still hasn't come out with drivers for many older printers for XP, I suspect they won't since they haven't after a year. XP has drivers built in for all of the 690s.

While in XP uninstall the driver and the printer from printers folder. Boot up with the printer connected and turned on. Windows will find it and install its own driver. My kids have a 695c and it works just fine that way.
