Enum revisited

Okay I did the enum thing and had a nice little mess on my hands... the computer that used to have the hard drive with ME is now up and going with my 98 hard drive even if it's not smooth yet... few kinks to work out...

The computer that had the 98 hard drive and now has the ME hard drive is dealing me fits. It has a Radeon in it and I tried to install the drivers and now I can't get the monitor to even stay up and going so I can see to get into the BIOS. The computer comes up and the monitor light goes green, then starts blinking. I'm sure I'm missing something simple but I've been at this for five hours now.

Help!

hi kittyfire,

So are you getting no display during POST? No display whatsoever?

Any beeps?

Is the keyboard and case LEDs lighting up, fans turning?

Try switching the monitor on before starting the PC.

Try reseating the Radeon a few times and make sure the monitor cable is securely connected to the card.

Remove and reseat your Ram.

Try disconnecting all other components (even the HD) and see if you can get a POST.

Try another monitor to see what happens.

Try another graphics card.

If all else fails, try Hal's tip

::big hugs:: Thank you hon. I've about narrowed it down to that *(^P video card. I tried moving another monitor and it wouldn't come up at all. When I first moved the drives, I was able to get that one up and get on line with it even then the monitor just went out. Only thing that makes sense is the video card since a different monitor acts the same way on it. The other computer, the one with my old hard drive in it, it's up and running smooth now. I appreciate the help!
