It gives me this message and then boots normaly, I've never gotten an error like this one before so can you guys help me diognose it.

the boot.ini file is wrong try start run msconfig and on the boot.ini tab hit check all boot paths

XP? 2000?
Reckon there must be a typo / mistake in your boot.ini Why is Win2000/XP installed to c:\windows and not c:\winnt? Just make sure hidden files are shown (Tools - Folder Options...) goto the root of C: Open boot.ini in notepad, Select All and copy it to here Then we'll see what's wrong Thanks, Jim |

fatboyjim, XP installs to "Windows", NT and 2000 install to "winnt" by default.
