WIN2K File System Compatibility Questions

Here's the deal: I just put together a new PC for gaming. I want to transfer the contents of my old hard drive to my newer, faster one. My old hard drive runs the FAT32 file system, with WIN2K as the OS. When installing Windows 2000 Professional on the newer hard drive, it gave me two formatting options: FAT and NTFS. My questions are:
1) Can the FAT32 HD be directly copied (or just programs) to a FAT/NTFS HD?
2)If not, can files such as media, text files, non-programs, etc be transported via floppy/CD and pasted to FAT/NTFS
3)If both above are NOs, then will using the WIN2K disc to upgrade from FAT32 to NTFS destroy all of the programs on the old HD?
4)Is there a Windows program that will do an exact mirror of a HD? (I do not have a RAID controller)

P.S. Really hope that it is possible to transport, at the least, whole programs, because I have tons of stuff on that old hard drive that I would appreciate not having to reinstall .

I am sorry that I did not read the Attn: Faq section at the beginning of this forum. I am in such a hurry to get this HD thing going so I can play Counter-Strike with mega-fps (Radeon 9700 Sweet). Runs so much faster than my old HP that it is hard to go back. I have concluded that NTFS is the file system for me and that the programs on my old hard drive should not be affected.

NTFS is a better file system in my opinion. You can copy from Fat to NTFS. You can't copy programs unless they don't use the registry. Most programs do. You'll have to reinstall those for them to work.

I just ended up converting both Hard Drives to the NTFS file system, then using the old one as a Slave. Then I downloaded all of my programs from their websites/CDs, and copying the other stuff.
