My HDD has Win ME disk space problems.

Right I have an AMD athlon 800, 312mb's ram, 20gb HDD, geforce 2 mx400 graphics thingy, unfortunately it is also running on a packard bell all-in-one dumbass OS [based on Win ME :*( ].

The problem I'm getting is of the disk space nature. I currently have about 13gb's of stuff on my HDD leaving roughly 5-6gb's. Problem is when I reach about 5gb's remaining space the computer reports that I have NO disk space left what so ever, this happens when installing programs, downloading files ANYTHING to do with using diskspace.

So I'm guessing this problem has something to do with the 5gb's of diskspace being reserved by windows for some unfounded reason. If anyone knows of any reason why this might happen PLEASE reply. Thanks.

Could be for the system restore. By default, Windows reserves quite a bit of space for restore points, I usually cut this down so there are only two or three days of restore points instead of two weeks.
