Remote Desktop Connection

With Remote Desktop Connection, how to i connect to a specific host inside a LAN? for example, my friends WAN address is 66.xx.xxx.xxx, and his ip inside his LAN is 192.169.1.101. When i open up remote destop connection on my computer, i put in his wan ip and obviously, it doesnt connect. is there something he has to do or something i have to do to connect?

thanks ^dan

he has to forward port 3389 to his internal ip address. RDC does not support NAT so this is the only way to connect.

Yea but that only works when he sends me a invite. he is gonna be out of town so that wouldnt work. but forwarding port 3389 works fine.
