I have no idea what is going on and why this is doing this. And o yea, i tried this card on my other systems running winxp and they were fine! i have updated drivers like crazy and all.. but all that left me was going crazy.

this is driving me nuts, i have formated the computer already and i am still recieving this problem. ok ok the drivers for the card arent signed from microsoft, which isnt meaning anything cause its working on my other computer.. please help..

Ecs mobos are always suspect, they seem to have a unsavory reputation. Hey I resemble that!

Also you might want to look at updating the BIOS to the latest version, as I have seen several board brands that have put out updates for problems with NVidia Chips.

i run the same board with a geforce 2 mx200 so i wouild not think it is a compatability promblem.

Have you tried another video card in the system yet,

Is it running at all or just giving you the stop error,

Is this a new build? If not, what graphics card were you using previously? Did you uninstall the old drivers thro Add/remove programs before installing the new Geoforce drivers?

Was the display working perfectly well with the new install of XP until you loaded these drivers?

Try starting in Safe Mode. If you don't get Stop errors, then that would point to a driver problem or conflict.

If so, I would try unistalling the drivers and trying different drivers.

Because the drivers work in another system, that doesn't mean they are not to blame. Unless your other PC uses the same mobo and hardware.

FYI, I've installed about 10 GF2's in the past few months. The ONLY motherboard that crapped out was an ECS.
Bought a cheap Raedon, and it works fine.
Go figure...

well this computer was a new build. i had the geforce2 for it, so i was happy but it always kept crappin out.. i have a radeon card that i put in and it works perfectly fine, but it only works with direct 3d for counterstrike and it sux so i went back to the geforce2.. i think its the motherboard deff.. and i think i mite have a voltage problem.. think of this, everytime i shut down the computer (which is often cause of this!) the computer eats up my cmos battery just like that *.. lol so deff something wrong.. do you guys no of a program that is good that gives me system stats as well as voltage stats cause i think i have a bad voltage probem..

Are you getting any "CMOS battery low" or "CMOS settings lost" messages.

We've already had some members that have problems with the CMOS resetting - and at least one member whose battery kept discharging with this mobo.

I don't think there is any solution to the battery discharging all the time, apart from replacing the mobo.
