Late reply here -

If the computer you need the disks for already has Win95 already on it and still functional, take a look with Windows Explorer in C:\Windows\Options\Cabs. You might have all the installation files right there on the hard drive.

Did you want to reinstall?

If you don't see an "Options\Cabs" folder/subfolder, then the files might not be on your hard drive.

. . . and, since it's close to that time: Happy New Year

Thanks oldsailor, But the boot disk I am needing Is the #1 disk of 13 floppy disks! It is the floopy disk version. Not the cd version. It should have files Precopy1.cab & win95.01.cab. or something of that sort.
I am hoping someone can help.

I don't remember a 13 disk version - it was 18 or so for win3.95.400 and this was the first windows one - OK anyway I have the the CDROM for it but you will still need the program to create the disk as the disksize is 1.76Mb and not 1.44 - I mean the data they put on the disk..Send me a email to hesscom(AT)gmx.net - the (AT - is @) anti spam..

Then I think you guys had the upgrade version -I just checked - from beginning meaning the BETA version had 24 disks and then the official release 18.
Anyway the first disk needs to contain those files..and the Size will be around 2mb
