Partitioning Drive C in windows

I have done this before on another ocmputer, but for some reason I cannot remember how to do it on my own computer.

I just got Windows Xp Pro and I want to create some partitions on ym C drive and I did that on another computer while I was in windows using the C drive.

so far I've goen here:

start
control panel
administrative tools
computer management
storage
disk management

I see my hardrive listed, what do I do next?

The only way to do it now with the entire drive partitoned and formatted would be to either wipe the drive and start over, or use Partition Magic.

Thanks, I thought I might need to do that(partition magic), but wanted confirmation before getting the software. I think when I did it on the other ocmputer I made the C:\ partition only take a fraction of the drive where as this time I took my whole drive, but this is a god learning experience, next time I'll get it right.

If you decide to use Partition Magic be sure to read the directions very carefully. It's a great program but it's not really point and click learn as you go. Be sure to back up your data before you start.

If this a brand new install it might be about as easy to just start over. One you have moved Partitions with PM don't do it with anything else until the drive has been formatted.
