Question QuickTime 6 for Windows doesn't work!

Ever since I upgraded to QuickTime 6 for Windows it doesn't work; it plays with a blank white picture. The sound plays okay, but no picture. I have Windows Me and QuickTime tells me I am successfully configured to go thru my firewall (Tiny).

Any suggestions? I am stumped.

I haven't had to do it for Quicktime but I have had the same problem with Windows Media PLayer and downloading the newest DivX codecs cured it every time.

You can get them here.

Angry Fire It still won't work...

I downloaded it with the Antivirus off but it still doesn't work. Just a blank screen while the sound plays.

Are you saying I have to use DivX instead of QuickTime? Does it run QuickTime videos??? If so, I'll try it.

Thanks.

No DivX is just a codec that allows you to see some of the newer types of files in your player. It's a small download. I don't even know that it has any effect on QuickTime files. But it has allowed WMP play files that were working like you described.
