Unhappy reformatting xp

hey can anyone plz help me??
my names chris and i dont know much about reformatting, im currently running windows xp and want to know how to reformat my computer and i would appreciate if someone can help me out.
if it could be in step by step pattern as i dont know much about formatting.

Hi
I had the same problem and was advise by this site to use a windows 98 start up disk, start computer with the disk in the
A Drive
When loaded type the drive where XP is on ie C you will need to type it like this
C:\ format C:
This worked for me hope this helps

well that would work with 98/me

but with xp/2k you can just boot to the cd ,change the boot sequence in the bios , and follow the instructions.

I believe you should use the XP CD to do it. I'm not sure that Fdisk will work if it is currently using NTFS.
