right click menu options

I posted this before, the thread seems to have gone dead so, please excuse my undulgence of opening a new thread.
I have tried a few things to remove excess items from my right click menu. I used the advice here:
http://www.jfitz.com/tips/rclick_custom.html
to remove items in the registry, also found some settings within programs themselves. I am still left with an entry for "Cybermedia Uninstaller" (which has been taken over by McCaffee). Their tech. support tells me this is an outdated product and they have no support for it. If I return to their site and pretend to have a newer version, they still don't have a solution...they claim it can't be disabled.
Surely this can't be so. Anyone have any ideas?
also, I have two entries for "open with" and "open with notepad".
I tried in a program called tweaki3 to disable and then enable this option, but I always get two listings. any ideas here??

Have you used Tweakui to remove listing from your add/remove list that are stuck there?

ok
for all those interested, I was given a list of registry entries for right click menus, you will find various entries listed under each...as always, backup before editting.

Here's a list of keys related to different menus:

________________________________

click inside folder windows:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
_______________________________

click folder icon:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
________________________________

click file:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell (all files)
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.EXT\shell (where .EXT is . + file extension.)
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex (all files)
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.EXT\shellex
__________________________________

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.EXT\ShellNew - entry in New menu.

Don't remove ShellNew key under HKCR\.LNK
That's for creating shortcuts.

Hi Dan - were you able to make the changes you needed from that list? (I'm assuming so. . . )

Hi Gary
yes, I found several entries that refered to software programs that were on the right click menus. Once deleted (after backup), the menu entries were gone...and a big plus: the programs still worked like normal!!!
I also found a few settings within programs like Winzip, for "shell integration" that also removed the menu entries.

and a Happy New Year to All!!
thanks Gary, I owe a big thanks to Joe, the author of a program called Tweak Revisited (he sent me the reg info)
http://www.jsware.net/jsware/boss.html
most of the settings in this program can be found within windows and tweakiu. It has a simple gui that puts a lot of useful tweaks in one location. Joe continues to offer great tech support for the program and has helped me with a lot of other windows problems...
Anyone unfamiliar with his work should check out his website....
