I'm not familar with kintdrv.vxd or what program is it is associated with. Did you recently load some software and install a new peice of hardware? I am guessing it is for some sort of drive.

I would try booting from a bootdisk and running scanreg/restore from the A: prompt.

Hi miked102,

Here's what Tuf was saying:
Insert the disk you made earlier (called Windows 98 emergency boot disk) into your floppy and boot the system. This should put you at an a: prompt.

If you don't have this disk, you have three options, depending on what you have available:

Boot from the Setup disk and exit to the Dos prompt.
Go into your BIOS, ensure that your CDROM is the first boot device, and boot to your Win98SE CD
On the computer that you are using to read this message, go to Boot Disk, click on "DOS - Windows 9X/NT4/2000/XP Excellent Bootdisks", then download the Windows 98 SE OEM version.

Below is some of the text I copied from their readme:
Quote:
Most of the bootdisk files are self extracting images of bootable floppies. After you download the image file, insert a fresh floppy in your A: drive and click on the file to make the disk.

No matter which site you find them at, original bootdisk.com disks have 4 cdrom drivers on them. If the default cd1.sys driver does not find your cdrom then just change config.sys to use cd2.sys etc. Our disks always name your cdrom letter R:
Once you have done this, and follwed the instructions I copied above, boot your malfunctioning computer and choose the DOS prompt.
Once you are at the DOS prompt, if you are at the A: prompt, type "C:" (without the quotes), then type "scanreg/restore" (without the quote marks) at the C: prompt.

Hope this helps
