Have a Customer who has moved to London England - and is trying to connect his laptop to free Internet Provider Tiscali - but has connecting problems - he's using NT4 and Tiscali doesn't support this - as she was told by the helpdesk there -
Is there any special settings for this in england? What's the Area Code for London - Centre ? Anyone with experience with Tiscali? www.tiscali.co.uk Other configuration problems which may arise there.. Her problem is that the modem is dialing and gets through to the server but then can not connect to the server - error - Can not establish Connection.. and there it jumps out.. Anyone with any ideas - .. Thanks Hpro And a happy New Year ..

Lie to Tiscali. Tell them you have Win98 or 2k, and ask for all the primary and secondary dns settings, proxy servers (if any), alternate dial-up numbers.
Tell them you're setting this up on multiple computers (home, office, laptop) all to use the same account, and they should at least provide the info. Maybe a stupid question, but is he using a telephone line adaptor to convert the rj11?

Yes - ,I mean she is using this cable converter to change from Swiss to English standarts - but this isn't the one because she can logon to any swiss account dialing the swiss numbers from england so it's not a thing of telephone line problem...
