Hi Liquid-X,

I usually get that error with bad RAM. Have you installed new RAM as well?

RAM has "usually" caused that problem for me, however you might goi to microsoft.com and in the window on the left for search type SUWIN and/or setupx.dll. A host of possibles comes up.

Hi Liquid-X,

Is your computer fully assembled? Try stripping it down to just the bare necessities (CPU, heatsink, motherboard, 1 stick of RAM, video card, floppy, hard drive and CD-ROM) and then try to install Win98SE again. If you're booting directly to the Win98SE CD-ROM for the installation, leave the floppy drive out.
