Searching for info on MP 7.1 led me to a thread located in OSystems for Win2000 etc, which mirrors my problem. I run 98se.
When the MP opens an error message opens stating that the connection was lost etc, and video cannot play till a connection is established. I have the MicSoft knowledge base article -321282. Which gives 2 methods for a fix. I would rather not give up on 7.1 for 6.4, but..................... Q. How do I access/find the address for the proxey server that my ISP provides for me? Q. How do I access/find the "port" number that my ISP provides for me? TIA jef

did you try just uninstalling and reinstalling the media player??
I looked for the setting you mentioned (my computer-dial-up networking), but mine are all set automatic)...perhaps a call to your isp tech support..... |
