Question Where are attachments?

I have just noticed this, when I upgraded to XP Pro I don't seem to be getting attachments in my Outlook Express mail. All mail comes through fine but attachments are listed , but I can't open them. When I click on the attachment icon they are grayed out?
What's up with this?

Hey Capt'n
One of 2 things you may check that I have found on mine.
1- Under Tools>Options>Security Tab, there is a box that is checked by default that says "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" -- Seemed to me that before I found that one and unchecked it, I couldn't open any attachments, although I don't get that many, but you could uncheck that.
2-- I have recently found that when there is an attachment, there is a little window box showing the name and size of the attachment, and just double clicking it opens up the attachment. I did have 1 person sending me attachments that were txt's and I couldn't open them untill I discovered that little trick. HTH

Open up Outlook Express, at the top look under the tools tab pick OPTIONS THEN INSIDE THE OPTION SCREEN CHOOSE THE SECURITY TAB THEN UNCHECK THE BOX THAT SAYS (DO NOT ALLOW ATTACHMENTS TO BE SAVED OR OPEND THAT COULD POTENTIALY BE A VIRUS)

Let your virus checker check for any virus....
