xp on a laptop
can anyone tell me if its possible to put windows xp pro on a laptop which already has XP home ( a friend has asked me)

Yes it is possible. If your friend has XP Home on it, it would mean that there should be conceivable hardware conflicts either, which makes it easier.
PS: Ask him/her to make sure that the device drivers or the XP drivers CD is available for any device that might not be natively supported by XP. And as usual back up all important data before attempting such changes. |

xp home will treat xp pro as an upgrade.
note you willnot be abble to revert back to home with out a format of the hdd |
