Disk Cleanup
I am getting a new computer very soon, and will be giving my old one to one of my children. Before I do that, though, I want to clean most of my programs and files off the old system. It is running Win98, and I have accumulated a lot of junk on the hard drive. A lot of it I don't recognize. My question is, what is the best way to clean it up? I would just reformat the HD, except I don't have the install disk, just a recovery disk for 98. I'm going to need pretty detailed instructions. Thanks for any help you can give me. DKC

If it is a store bought computer, the recovery disk should format the HDD and reinstall all the needed drivers and OS.

If you reboot the pc with the disk in the cd drive it should give you choices on what to do. reformat and install.
