need temporary dual boot solution

I recently installed Windows XP Home on my computer but I also need to install Windows 98SE, because the XP Home is only a trial and I need some programs from the 98setup. Heres my problem. I need to know what steps to take. I have a liscensed copy of Windows 98se, but I don't have the actual setup disk I have a "recovery disk" from the manufactor. Whenever I boot from it it comes up to a screen telling me that if I continue it will erase everything on the hdd then it starts extracting all the win98 files.(which takes about an hour and a half.) What steps do I need to take to get this working?
