Pissed Uninstalling a program using brute force

How do I uninstall a program that doesn't allow to be uninstalled via the normal process?

This Panda AV Titanium got messed up and no longer is working. I tried to install it again but the installator refused to install over "a current version of the same program". So I went to the Add/Remove in the Control Panel. But whenenver I try to run the uninstaller I get this message: Uninstallation program failure at attempting to uninstall (0x80040702).

What gives?

How do I unistall it? Can I edit the registry to do it?

Reformating and reinstall Windows is *NOT* an option.

TIA for the input.

Hi NK

Sorry that the AV is a bit stuck: looks like the folks at Pandasoft have a workaround for you that will let you finish your uninstall OK, and then re-install (if you want to):

The fix involves deleting a hidden folder.
Best of luck,

Deleted the folder but now, whenever I try to uninstall it using the Add/Remove it just does nothing. The Uninstaller doesn't even start.

Looks like the Panda's trapped in an invisible cage, eh?

What about trying a reinstall? (then you might be able to uninstall from there if it's causing too much trouble)?

Seems like reinstall might be a good chance.

Voilà! It worked!

Last time I tried to reinstall it refused! Must have been that hidden folder the culprit.

Thanx a lot Gary! You da man!

The Panda is dead. Long live the Krusader.

I think I'd better get some sleep before I type too much more craziness. Glad you got it fixed. Try to survive my humor
