Help With Conflicts

I have just purchased Creative sound blaster Audigy2
And after loading my pc lock ups on a regular basis, when the
P C starts a Creative logo is shown and I expect it's the drivers loading I am at a loose end as to were this is loading from.
I have been in msconfig start up unchecked all the items there, also into services unchecked all the items that are creative but still it load’s
Can you help?
Ps it don't show after removing the program and the pc works ok so the problem is with the new sound blaster Audigy2

Main Board Gigabyte 7vaxp ultra
Graphics Card Gigabyte Maya 2
Mem 512 DDR
HD maxon 20g

Thanks F W

Try placing the card in a different slot.... with the power off....

Also if you were using the onboard sound before the soundblaster, you will have to diable the onboard sound in the motherboard bios....

I have an Audigy 2 and it performs fine. But I have a lockup when the Creative Registration program prompted me to register. It kept crashing and rebooting itself, until I disabled it by clicking on "Never remind me to register" when the blasted program finally managed to not crash.

Did you remove the creative short-cut in the starup folder.

open the start menu at the bottom of the desktop,go to all programs and then startup and right click on any creative icon and choose delete.

Don't give up there are a lot of good members here and we all have different solutions to different problems , so please bare with us.... thanks

I found a solution for the splash screen i will also include the link so you can check your other problem....

How do I disable the splash screen on startup with the Sound Blaster Audigy 2?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Keywords disable, software, splash, screen, audigy2
Applies to Sound Blaster Audigy 2 range

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our Advice
You may disable the splash screen on startup as follows:

Click on Start - Programs - Creative - Sound Blaster Audigy 2 - Creative Splash Screen
Click on the settings icon (circled in green)
Uncheck the Load on Startup option
