Hi All! I just make a bootable disc from a blank CDR disc using Nero version 5.9.9.17, and it's tested can boot. But the problem is i cannot add/write any files to this bootable disc anymore! The error is roughly like the CDRW drive cannot write to this disc or cannot add files to this disc. How to i solve this problem so that i can add/write files to this bootable disc? Any reply are appreciated! Thanks.

Hi,
Did you say the cd is a cdr? If so, you can only write to it once. If it is actually a cd-rw, and if you used the feature "disk at once", that also makes it act like read only until you format it again. Just some thoughts.

Thanks homey! I think i might used the feature "disk at once", so any other way to make it write-able again?

If you have already finalized that disc you can't write to it again. Nero will let you make multi-session discs but I don't know if it will be bootable until you finalize it.

It will be bootable as long as you close the session, but not the disk. You can also add more files after. Once it's complete, then close the disk.
I usually compile what I want to burn first, including all files needed, then one burn, close the disk, and it's done. |
