Backing up Files?

I think that is what I want do do. I need a new hard drive and I want to be able to save some stuff from this hard drive,and put it on my new hard drive, Not a whole lot of stuff but I would like to save my favorites from my browser and my e-mail addresses. Everything else i can just reload.I can't seem to find my address book but I am not sure waht to do when I find it anyway. so is that all I have to do is back it up on a floppy? Thanks for your help!!
