View options for the MY PICTURES folder.

I don't know what the heck happened. But when I go to see my pictures folder, I go either through My Computer path. Or I just go to Start--My Pictures shortcut.

Somehow when I go there through the start menu and click on the shortcut, I see this folder, and I choose "DETAIL VIEW" and rather than simply sort files into order by name date or whatever, it does more than that. For example if it's sorted by NAME, it doesn't just sort it, but it it actually puts a tab before a group of files that says what letter they start with. Or if I sort it by date, it will put a category TODAY and then list the files, or YESTERDAY, then LAST WEEK, blah blah.

Why did this happen?
All my other folders are displayin correctly without any markers to guide me. How can I turn this stupid feature off!?!?

Strange, I don't see what you're talking about. Where is this "arrange icons by" I can't find this anywhere.
