Disabling Autoplay

Hey everybody,

I went to disable Autoplay CD in Windows 2000 using the program " gpedit.msc" and I disabled Autoplay.

Although when I still insert a Video Game, the video game program runs, and when I put in audio cd, the cd player program runs.

I have downloaded TWEAKUI, and when I extract it t a folder, I double click on the program and it asks me if I want to install it, I hit yes, and then nothing happens. I check the control panal, and I don't see TWEAKUI anywhere. I downloaded the TWEAKUI for Windows 2000. I rebooted, and I still did not see it.

Do you guys have any ideas on how to disable autoplay completely?

just some basic stuff that I am running on right now..

AMD Athlon XP 1800+
MSI Motherboard
Windows 2000 Professional
256MB DDR RAM PC2100 CRUCIAL
SB LIVE

Thanks!

[Update]
Did a little search on Deja.Com and I had to edit a Registry Key and had to change the value for Autoplay from 1 to 0, rebooted the PC and inserted in an audio CD, and it didn't autoplay. Backed up registry before I did that anyways :P

If Win2000 is like XP then Tweakui is not in the control panel but in the programs menu.

I'm running XP, and what I did was go to Regedit and search for AutoRun and change the value to zero. It shows up more than one place BTW. When set to 1 you will notice your hd led flash once per second as windows searches for a cd in the drive. At least that's my take on it.
