Post Domain user account automatically joins local admin group

Domain: nt 4.0, Windows 2000 member server.
my user is in the domain admins group.
domain admins grou*wee wee*et in all local admin groups on workstations and servers.

Every time i login to a server or workstation it automatically puts my user into the local admins group on that server or workstation. How can i get this to stop?

PS. when i am on my local pc i can remove the domain admins group from the local admins group and it reappears after reboot. I do not remove my login from the local admins group. Does anybody know why this is. I do not want the domain admins group to be apart of the local admins group just my self.

If I understand correctly, you are a member of the administrators group on a W2k domain.

Settings and permissions of domain members overide local settings. The users, groups, computers are setup in Active Directory on the server.

In a workgroup environment this would not be the case.
