Booting down...

is it in any way harmful to run a PC for the whole day and then shut it down at night for to safe electricity? I heard you need to run a PC all day and all night for "optimal performance" and "constint temperature of CPU and Hard Drive" .

I like to shut down my PC at night, because I don't use it at night, I want to sleep in a quiet environment, and to save electricity so the bills don't go up.

Thanks guys,

Matt
