Open In New Windows No Longer Functions!
I’m running XP Pro with SP1. Just recently, in IE6, the right click option to Open In New Window no longer works. The address field goes blank and it just sits there with the hourglass spinning. I thought of the IE6 repair feature, and expected to find it in add/remove programs, but the IE6 was not there. Is it somewhere ells in XP? I also remove everything out of the startup and still have the same problem.
Thanks for any help offered. Lance. Computer Spec’s; PII 350 320MB Ram ATI RADEON 7000 Asus P2B Motherboard Sound Blaster Awe64 |

You can use System File Checker to repair IE6 with XP.
Start menu>Run type sfc /scannow select the OK button follow the prompts throughout the System File Checker process reboot when System File Checker is finished Not the quickest way, but it works. |

edge345; It happens no matter where I am on the net. But I found a way to fix the problem. Look for ie.inf, right click it and select install. It fixed the problem quick and easy. The repair feature, sfc /scannow did not fix the problem. Thank for your help everyone.
