Windows Explorer View Problem

When I am browsing through my folders and files with windows explorer and I change the view settings (through right click in the files area) to something else it changes but the next time I open windows explorer and browse in the folder the view settings are back to normal. I keep changing it and it changes back by itself again, does anyone know how to permanent change a folder's view settings? I have already enable "remember each folder settings option" in the folder options but still don't work. Thanks for your help!

There should be an option: "apply to all folders" or something like dat.

I'm assuming you are running XP, of course.

What I do is put the settings the way I want and then open tools\folder options\view and then click "like current folder".

Is this Explorer or just a open folder?
