I upgraded my BIOS the other day and since then whenever I turn on/restart my computer I get the dumb 'Windows has found new hardware' or whatever it says. Anyways, it's finding my printer and asking me to install the drivers, but my printer is already installed and working perfectly. Anybody know how I get it to stop saying that it found new hardware? Thanks

Assuming that device manager looks ok
Un-install and re-install the printer driver. Look for a update first. I use Registry Crawler: http://www.4developers.com/regc/index.htm It works along with Reg Editor and finds ALL entries you ask it for, not one at a time. You would be surprised what is left over after a program/driver un-install! Wouldn't be without it! Just watch what you delete, there is no recycle bin for the registry. Go to control panel then printers and delete all printers, then reboot and let windows find the new hardware and install the proper printer drivers. have the printer turned on when you reboot.
