NetBIOS Protocol
How do I enable my NetBIOS protocol in Windows XP?
Because whenever I use this following command in cmd.exe I get an erorr, the command is : nbtstat -A xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (xxx is replaced by somones IP) The error is " Host cannot be found" Please help |

Open my computer then open the control panel /network conections, then right click on the local area conection and choose properties, highlight internet protocol,then choose properties,then the advanced tab near the bottom,then click the WINS tab.... its in there.

Ok good that worked, now I gotta do it for my other computer, (Windows 2000 Professional)
How do I do it with that?

you should not use nebios protocall with eather system, use tcp/ip for both systems,
you only want to use netbios if you have a very old system that does not support tcp/ip |

But all I want is "nbtstat -A xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" to work, how can I get it working?

Would that be "netstat -a" ? Not "nbstat -a" ?
