How to replace shell.dll?

I had to delete this file as it was infected by a virus some time back and now when I try to install new software it gives me an error stating "cannot find shell.dll". How would I go about replacing this file, my OS is XP Pro.

Trent Steel,

I don't know for sure if you can just pull the file off the XP Pro OS cd or not, but I found this site click Here check it out for yourself. I don't know if these are specifically for XP Pro OS or not. Use at your own risk.

Thanks, I used the shell.dll that I found on that site, seems to work. New installations don't complain about the file not being there anymore.
