whats wrong now???
I just got a infestation of the klem virus (?) I deleted it with a program that a friend gave me who runs some systems for an insurance company. My problem now is when I log out it seems to freeze up before I exit windows. I've, defraged, virus scanned, scanned registry, dump all temp files but it still locks up.
Is it possible that it effected some of the other programs while it was in my system? I had to reload music match. It either ate it or broke it. Regardless it wasn't working. I also noticed tha my microsoft viewer program isn't working either. Are there certain things I need to do after I've been virused??? How do I know if things are back to normal???? thanks Joshua |

If you had to reinstall some programs then the virus did damage some files. i would format and reinstall every thing. then get a good virus checker and jkeep it updated. i use norton anti-virus 2003 and have had no problems....

You can try scanning your system with housecall here: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
If it still locks up on shutdown, you may just want to just reformat your hdd and reinstall windows. Fresh reinstalls are always a good thing anyway.
