Internet connection problem
I have recently bought a new pc with windows xp. I loaded my internet connection ( bt openworld ) and made a short cut on my desktop, and everything seemed to work fine.
However, recently My connection has not worked. When I click on the icon ,nothing happens. When I click on The Internet explorer icon, it sometimes comes up with the connection box, but the password is wrong. When I change it ,it connects, but never saves the new password. The computer logo in the bottom corner of the screen also no longer appears. I have went into my connections, and the logo for bt openworld is there, but when I click on it , nothing happens. I clicked on the bar to create shortcut, it appears on the desktop, but it does not work. If I connect to microsoft outlook, a large box appears, bigger than the one on explorer, and it dials up using the original password that I used when I set it up, why does this box not appear when I use explorer,? it used to.Can anyone help. Am I better off deleting everything and starting again ?. I feel foolish as it is probably a simple problem to fix, but I am not all that familiar with computers,so please keep that in mind if you reply with a solution, please keep it step by step. many thanks !! |

You could try re loading the BT software that you have got it's very stright forward Let me know how you got On PS you don't have to unload BT software if you dont want two |

If you have the anytime deal you want to change ISPs, BT are ripping you off bigtime, 5 hours of online time a day and thats it, freeserve anytime you can be on all day.
