ZoneAlarm pro 3.5 lost after upgrade to xp
Hi everyone, hopefully someone can help me find my lost ZoneAlarm Pro 3.5 program which i kinda "lost" when i upgraded a month ago from 98se to xp..Let me explain...
After the upgrade, i noticed i didnt have the little zone alarm icon in the program tray ... I went and "clicked" on the desktop shortcut which was still there, all i got was the windows hourglass for a fraction of a second, no zonealarm control center opening. I went to the ZoneAlarm Program folder which was still there, clicked on the Zonealarm icon startup exe..same thing, windows hourglass for fraction of a second,no zone alarm control panel opening. In msconfig, it still shows zonealarm opening upon startup etc. but the actually program does not open up anymore....Am i making sense here??lol...anyway bottom line is..all the icons are still there, but nothing opens up when i click on them plus the start up tray icon that moniters zonealarm is gone.....any ideas? thanks for your time..PS> ive uninstalled the program and reinstalled it after the upgrade hoping that would help, but same results...Plus Zonelabs web page does not address any XP issues. etc.... |

7. BETA of Windows Media Player (version 9.00.00.2799) on Windows XP
Microsoft has discovered an incompatibility in its latest BETA of Windows Media Player (version 9.00.00.2799) on Windows XP with personal firewalls. We are working with Microsoft to resolve this issue. A temporary workaround solution is to set your firewall settings to "Medium" while you use Media Player but Zone Labs doesn't recommend to lower security settings at any time. |
