HEEELLP bad install!!!

I think I screwed up a RH linux install. I am installing linux and WinXP on two different HDDs. I finished the Linux install and when I restarted the computer, WinXP which I had installed previously didn't show up on the boot loader. So I put the Windows XP CD in the drive and I chose to repair Windows. Then it asked me to choose what to load and I chose C:\Windows. But when I do that it asks me to enter the administrator password, and I don't remember even setting one. Everytime I used WinXP I never used a password. I am really scared, I am afraid all of my files are gone!! PLEASE HELP ME!!

I deleted the linux installation. But when I try to re-install Windows it tells me that there is an old installation of windows on the drive. However, since I can't get into Windows I can't save the files. Is there any way I can make an image of my HDD on a CD without going into Windows?? Please, I really need help...PLEASE ANSWER!

Install WINXP first, and then Linux.

When you load up XP Setup. You will be able to FORMAT and Repartition the drive.

There are many programs on the internet that allow you to copy a hard drive onto another. A great program is called GHOST. I think you can only download it as a shareware.

Hope that helps!

You don't reinstall Windows, you repair it.
Set your BIOS to boot from CD, and put in the Windows CD, restart the computer.
Run through the first part of the setup, DO NOT select "repair using the repair console", and a bit later, select "Repair Windows installation".
