First, do you have the "view all files" enabled? (shows all system and hidden files)

Use the search for files function and search for config*.*

It's probably in the \\windows\system32 folder

the config.sys to have any effectiveness will be on the root directory of the operating system. having said that there is no use for config.sys on XP.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that since win95, the only reason for autoexec.bat and config.sys is for backwards compatability with MSDOS. Except WinME where I see it does load autoexec.bat to find the windows directory.
