Win98 keeps stopping setup at 19%

I`ve partitioned and then formatted "c" drive. I run setup fom win98 CD but when the files are being copied over it stops at 19% each time. I`ve tried 2 different CD`s so its not that. SPEC= XP1800+,maxtor 60gb ATA133 (7200), 256SDRAM, 810LMR mobo

At my wits end here. Please help

I have seen faulty RAM do this. Try replacing the RAM with another stick and see if you are able to successfully install the operating system.

Big thanks to Markoman. I took the stick of 256 SDRAM and put 2 sticks of 128SDRAM from my own PC and it worked a treat. Big thanks.

Now for my next problem:

I`ve went through the win98 installation process and certain things crop up like "file not found" so i`ve "skipped file" and continued the process. Is this normal?

Now when i boot up, i still cant get into BIOS btw, before the Win98 screen appears i get the "following files not found, press any key to continue"

vnetsup.vxd
vnetbios.vxd
vredir.vxd
dfs.vxd

After that screen i get the following message:

unable to load dynamic link library msnp32.dll

system cant find file.

Any help please. thanks
