To any of you thinking of totally deactivating the system restore feature of Windows Me, my advice is: DONT! I left it intact (other then setting it to min space size, 200 mb),
and...it saved my bacon just a few minutes ago. Seems I corrupted a few files while attempting to shoot for Pluto on an overclocking attempt. Otherwise, I would have had to do a complete install, as a lockup while playing NFS V corrupted some DirectX 7.1 files, amongst others.

Exclamation Disabling Sys Restore

I agree. Disabling system resotre is one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard. Every time I've needed to use system restore, it came through.
