Question Services problems in 2000

I decided to disable RPC in services to see what effect it would have. After doing that and restarting the PC I went back into services to make it automatic on startup again. However, the properties page will NOT come up to let me do that. Does anyone know of another way to enable this service again?

RPC- Remote Prcedure Call

Hi,

When you right click on the service can you at least start it (under All Tasks)? It appears this is a key service and a lot of others depend on it. If it still doesn't work, have you tried booting off your win2k cd and using the repair option? Not sure if this will work though. Let me know what you can come up with and hope this helps.

tried

I tried right clicking on the service and then properties but properties never came up. It's funny that you list that site I had just found that site doing a google and a registry repair that fixed my problem is at that site. It worked Way Cool!! Thanks for the follow up Floppyman
