!Memory Warning!

When installing my graphics card( ATI Radeon 9000 Pro, 128mb), I received this warning:

"The instruction at "0x771c741a" referenced memory at "0x00163ba0". The memory could not be read."

Does anyone know what this means
My OS is WinXP Home w/sp1.

I've unistalled and re-installed a couple of times. I've also updated drivers.

I havn't received a memory warning with any other device. Only with my graphics card

Hi tminz,

RAM problem...but I'm not sure if it's your system memory or the memory on the video card. Maybe someone else can help you determine which.

If you are running a VIA chip set then upgrade the 4in1 drivers.

If you have onboard graphics then disable it in the bios.

Have you experienced this issue with installing any other video card?

Did you get any warnings/errors prior to installing the video card?

Try installing that Radeon in another computer and see if the same error message pops up. If it does, the RAM on the video card may be bad and you'll want to contact the vendor for a RMA.
